Nourish your brain

I have to admit … training was not on the top of my priority list these past weeks.

Things are definitely starting to pile up as the semester is closely coming to an end (essays, projects, presentations, exams & graduate school applications) & I have been prioritizing sleep and post-studying recovery over training (n o  s h a m e).
My training intensity is microscopic these days (see below), but I will take it up a notch during winter break (more details coming soon!).

Training plan during tough academic times:
– Run 1mile @ 8:50 / day
– Swim 1,000 yards free / day
– Lifting every 2 days
Since there are two weeks of school left, studying and doing well in school will be the priority.
On that note, I would like to share with you my favorite “study-drink”: the Minute Maid Enhanced Pomegranate Blueberry Juice, which according to the bottle “Helps nourish your brain” (this is due to the large amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA). It also contains Choline, B12 (both play an important role in the brain and nervous system signals), as well as antioxidant vitamin E, and vitamin C.
